DNA Evidence

DNA evidence is used to solve crimes. Scientist first have to extract DNA from an item. They must extract a plentiful amount to actually test it. Testing DNA could be used for finding a connection from the item it was obtained from, to a person's DNA. The light source, the acid test and the chemical test are all ways to test DNA. Objects such as burnt wisdom teeth can be used as DNA evidence. As long as you have enough the test will go through. But, if there is not enough DNA, you can extract DNA from related people to build, in a backwards way, a DNA profile. That's a taste of DNA evidence for you!

Genetic Diseases

The problems of genetic diseases happen through traits. This is because you inherit these diseases from family members. Diseases like this happen when DNA gets messed up. Your DNA gets messed up only when the codes that make up DNA are coded with certain codes. Sometimes it is coded in a way that allows you to have an extra chromosome. There are cases like an extra chromosome 21 one. The problem tha results from this is not pretty. If you get a genetic disease, don't blame your family just blame your trait.

Fingerprints

Fingerprints: A key to your identity. No two fingerprints are alike, making it perfect to identify someone. How are they different you say? Well, there are many ways for fingerprints to form. There are patterns such as the arch shape, the loop shape, and the whorl shape. There are the basic patterns. Other then the basic patterns there is another group of characteristics that gives a fingerprint its uniqueness. The lines or ridges end in different places for different prints, or the loops loop in a certain way. With these and other unique characteristics, a fingerprint can identify someone.
